An extra day of pre-season testing in 2027 but no news on the engine regulations.

The second meeting of the Formula 1 Commission in 2026 took place on Tuesday at the offices of the FIA in London. The meeting was chaired by FIA Single-Seater Director Nikolas Tombazis and FOM President and CEO Stefano Domenicali.

While there are no announcements regarding changes to the engine rules, in terms of the 2027 Technical and Sporting Regulations, minor changes were agreed to aerodynamic and bodywork components.

Also, a proposal to increase the number of pre-season test days in 2027 from three to four days was approved.

Finally, changes to Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) in relation to venues for testing was agreed. This involves limitations on conducting testing at circuits due to hold a race in the subsequent year's championship.

"I actually met a Brit who resides in Colorado who likes the 2026 regulations racing. I was stunned because he's 60 years old. There actually may be enough fools to watch this stuff.

I'll have to wait until the race after Monaco to see my watch party folks (younger). I'll be with my Lotus club driving fast in curves on Monaco Sunday. Time better spent.

I have my WEC+ subscription and a new interest in IndyCar racing."
